You can now create a print-ready PDF of your job's map directly from Map Mode in IKE Office Pro. This lets you easily capture collection/pole locations and other job details for field reference, reporting, and sharing.
Print a Map
- Open your job in Map-Based Review Mode.
- Click the Print icon at the top of the job list, next to the PhotoMeasure and Job Save buttons.
- In the Print Map window, choose which map elements to include using the checkboxes (see list below), and optionally add a note.
- Click Choose Print Area. The window closes so you can pan and zoom the map to the exact view you want to export.
- Once you're happy with the view, use the small toolbar at the bottom of the map to:
- Export to PDF - generate your PDF, or
- Add Page - add another map view to the same PDF (one view per page). Repeat steps 4–5 for each additional page.
Map Settings
Maps can be exported using the Map or Satellite base layers from Google Maps. Users can also select what to include on their Map in the map configuration window. Options include:
- Department & Job Name (appears at the top of the page)
- Scale Bar (matches User Setting for units - metric or imperial; appears in the lower left corner of the map)
- Collection Labels
- Notes (optional - can be entered in the window text box; appears below the map, adjacent to the Legend)
- North Arrow (appears in the top right corner of the map)
- Legend (matches Legend in Map Mode; appears below the map)
- Vector Labels (distance and bearing for all vectors)
Example Map PDF Export
Below is an example of what the Map PDF output looks like with all elements included. The standardized export is Landscape format and Letter size (8.5"x11").
