When using the IKE Form-Builder, there are non-basic fields available that correspond to certain data collection activities using the IKE device. You can learn more about these data capture tools below.
Location
Used to collect a GPS location, with Longitude, Latitude, and Altitude. IKE Devices provide location in WGS84 and IKE+ devices provide the location based on what your RTK Network provider is using. There are two options:
- Local location: Collected where the device is located (e.g. at the pole) and collects over a 30 second period to obtain the best accuracy available in that time frame.
- Target location: Collects the location from a distance (offset location) using the camera to aim the laser and compass to provide the location of a target.
When viewed on IKE Field, you will be presented with two options to capture the location of an object:
Image
This is a “photo only” tool and captures images that cannot be measured. Users might utilize this tool to capture photos of pole tags, close ups of pole damage, or other items that do not need a location or measurement associated with the image.
Photo Measure
The Photo Measure tool field is used to capture IKE Photos. IKE Photos are calibrated images captured in the field that can be measured in the back office with very high accuracy. IKE Photos capture several other measurements, including location, distance offset, bearing and vertical angle (between the IKE device and laser), and more.
Height
Tool used for measuring azimuth and distance between two points, such as a span length and the angle between two utility poles.
Subform
- The Subform tool field can be used for several purposes:
Used to group common fields for an object, such as equipment. - Used to create parent-child relationships between two fields. For example, the span would be the “parent” subform and the Wire within that span would be the “child” sub-subform.
- Copy or delete form fields quickly: subforms can be copied by swiping right on a subform field in IKE Field or by selecting “Duplicate” on a subform in IKE Office. Swipe left to delete the subform.
