Steps 1 & 2 are necessary if the template was created in an older version of legacy PoleForeman. Saving the legacy template in a later version will allow it to be opened in IKE PoleForeman. Otherwise, you can skip to step 3.
- Open the template in legacy PoleForeman
- File > Template
- Save the file as a new template (.pft)
- File > Save As > Select "PoleForeman Template (*.pft)" from the drop-down
- Open the template file in IKE PoleForeman
- Template > Select "Legacy PoleForeman template(*pft)" from the drop-down
- Save a new IKE PoleForeman template for future use
- File > Save As > Select "IKE PoleForeman template(*.pfngt)"
Note - There are some complexities when importing legacy PoleForeman templates into IKE PoleForeman. Different versions of legacy PoleForeman and database items that don't exist in IKE PoleForeman can cause the import to fail. If you're having trouble importing templates reach out to the IKE Support Team here.
