At any given time one can find a number of IKE Devices on eBay and similar websites selling at significant discounts. While the desire to save your organization money is completely understandable, the IKE Support Team does not recommend purchasing devices in this manner for a number of reasons.

Subscription & Activation Fees

• IKE Devices require a software subscription to IKE Office Pro to operate
  • You can't simply buy an IKE Device and begin fielding
• Customer organizations must be set up in IKE Office Pro by our team

• Additional activation fees may apply for used IKE Devices

   

The quality and usability of used hardware varies greatly

• Many used IKE Devices are non-functional or have significant usability problems
• The hardware version may be EOL (End of Life) and its software can no longer be updated
• IKE Device warranties do not transfer between parties

We verify the origin of all used IKE Devices prior to activation

• We will need to verify with the last known account holder that the IKE Device ownership was transferred lawfully
  • This can delay the start of your project
  • Many IKE Devices advertised online are flagged in our system as "missing/stolen"
• Many IKE Devices advertised online are actually property of ikeGPS that were never returned or went missing in transit
