Third Party Database Access by User
Manage and monitor external user access to your organization's IKE PoleForeman equipment database.
What is Third Party Individual Access?
Third Party Organization Access allows your team to securely share access to your IKE PoleForeman data with partner organizations (such as contractors or engineering firms). You stay in control—enabling, managing, and removing access whenever needed.
Background information:
This guide covers how to grant third-party access on an individual level. For guidance on how to grant third party access to an entire organization see this article.
This guide assumes the individual being granted access to is already an IKE PoleForeman user with a license assigned through their own organization. If the user is NOT already an IKE PoleForeman user you must:
- Tell the user they will need to contact IKE to purchase an IKE PoleForeman license and get set up with the software before proceeding
OR
- Create the new user under your organization and assign them a license from your organization's license pool
- You'll need to have The IKE Support Team add the contractor's domain (@theircompany.com) to your account
- If you miss this step you'll only see the "Third Party Role" available for the user which will not work in this situation
- Assigning them an email from your own domain is an alternative option
- Under this arrangement the user is assigned a license under the email address you created for them and treated as an internal user (not third-party)
- You'll need to have The IKE Support Team add the contractor's domain (@theircompany.com) to your account
How to Get Started
- Log into IKE Access as an Administrator
- access.ikegps.com
- If you're unsure who has Administrator access at your organization reach out to The IKE Support Team here for assistance
- On the "Home" screen select "ADD USER" and enter each user's email
- If the user is new to the platform they will receive an email with a link to set their password
3. Click "IKE PoleForeman" on the left hand panel
4. Search for the user
5. Next to the user click Action > Manage License and Roles > Assign
6. Select "Third Party Access" then Submit
7. The user will now be able to log into IKE PoleForeman
8. The user can ensure they're using the correct database by navigating to Tools > Options in IKE PoleForeman
Once the user has been added, the Database Admin can then assign, revoke or reassign third party access.
