Overview
Form migration in IKE Office Pro allows Admin users to move critical data between different PLA (Pole Loading Analysis) forms. This is useful when updating or reorganizing your data without starting from scratch.
-
Supported form types include:
SPIDAcalc
O-Calc
Legacy PoleForeman
IKE PoleForeman
-
The following data can be migrated between forms:
IKE Photos
Tag Photos
Location Data (latitude, longitude, altitude)
Field Measurements captured from photos (i.e., vector and height measurements)
Before you begin, keep in mind that migrating forms can overwrite data in fields that don’t exist in the target form — but don’t worry, you’ll be warned about this before proceeding, and you can revert collections if needed.
IMPORTANT: To prevent data loss, we recommend duplicating your pole collections first and only migrating one set of them. Data can be restored after migration using each pole's Revision History, but please note that this can be time-consuming.
Migrating Data Between Forms
In order to use the Form Migration tool, you must be an Admin user within IKE Office Pro and both the original and target collection forms must be present in your Department.
To move critical data between PLA forms, please follow the steps below:
- From the Map screen, select the poles you want to migrate from the list on the left-hand side.
- Open the 3-dots menu at the top of the pole collections list.
-
Select "Migrate Form."
-
In the pop-up window, read the warnings and then use the dropdown to select the target form (the one you want to migrate collections to).
- Click "Migrate Form."
-
After the process is complete, you'll see a success message at the bottom of the screen.
Following data migration, the collections can be edited and exported in IKE Office Pro using the target PLA form.
Do you think you made a mistake? Collections can be reverted if needed, so you can undo unwanted changes at the individual pole level. Just select a pole from the list on the left, open the 3-dots menu, and click Revision History - then select the version prior to the Form Migration.
