Overview

IKE Office Pro allows you to measure the diameter (width) of wires directly from calibrated IKE Photos using the Cable Measure annotation tool.

Note: Wire diameter measurement is performed in IKE Office Pro using a calibrated photo. This measurement is not currently available as a direct in-field measurement on the IKE device.

Prerequisites

• Access to IKE Office Pro
• A calibrated IKE Photo of the pole/span containing the wire you want to measure

Steps to Measure Wire Diameter

1. Select the annotation box around the wire. Draw or select the annotation box around the wire you wish to measure. IKE Office Pro will use the calibrated photo data to calculate the diameter of the selected wire.

2. Open the Show Attachment Preview window. In the measurement screen, open the Show Attachment Preview window to access annotation tools.

3. Select the Cable Measure annotation tool. From the annotation tool panel, click on the Cable Measure tool.

4. Adjust cable size and review the result. The measured wire diameter will be displayed and can be saved to the pole record.
