If you are experiencing issues with battery retention or need to swap a battery for extended fielding sessions, please follow our guide below.
*A T9 Torx screwdriver will be needed for all serial numbers starting with 36, as well as some later 16 or 26 models.*
1. Flip the IKE over so the back cover is face up. You'll see 6 screws that will need to be removed prior to opening the back of the IKE.
Note: Opening an IKE for this purpose or re-seating an SD card will NOT void your warranty.
2. Carefully remove all 6 screws from the back cover.
3. Use the groove at the bottom of the back cover to fully remove and expose the battery.
4. Now that the battery is visible, carefully disconnect the battery. Move the battery off to the side to expose the connector. Some force will be needed to get the pins out the connector. Pull in a straight, upwards direction to ensure the pins are not bent during this process.
5. Plug in the new battery to the connectors with the cable facing towards the right. This will ensure the battery lays flat and the cord does not get pinched.
6. Lastly, place the back cover back on the IKE, and gently hand tighten the screws. Power the IKE device on to ensure that the battery replacement was successful.
