Overview
If your IKE device has been damaged in the field and is no longer functional, it may still be possible to recover your collected data. The data is stored on an internal SD card which can be removed and transferred to a working IKE device for upload.
What You'll Need
- A T9 Torx screwdriver (available at most hardware stores)
- Older models may require a philipps head screwdriver
- A functioning IKE device
Steps to Retrieve Your Data
- Power down the damaged IKE device before opening it.
- Power down the functioning IKE device before opening it
- Remove the back plates using a T9 Torx screwdriver.
- Slide the battery aside — there is no need to disconnect it.
-
Carefully remove the SD card on the damaged IKE device from its slot.
- Remove the tape if present
- Push the SD card gate down towards the bottom of the device to pop it open
- Insert the SD card into a functioning IKE device
- Power up the functioning IKE device
- Log into IKE Field on the functioning IKE device and attempt to upload your data as normal.
Additional Notes
- The SD card contains multiple folders with your field data. Do not manually reorganize or delete any files from these folders before uploading.
- If you are unable to locate a T9 Torx screwdriver, they are commonly available at hardware stores.
- If data upload fails after transferring the SD card to a working device, please contact IKE Support for further assistance.
