Symptom: When taking a photo in IKE Field the message "Saving capture error, Error writing image to disk" is displayed.
Resolution:
1. Factory Reset the device after uploading your collections
- This problem most often occurs when the SD card and/or internal storage are full
- See the Factory Reset Guide here
- Additional information:
- By default IKE Field writes all data to the SD card
- When IKE Field is unable to use the SD card it switches to internal memory
- This can occur when the SD card is full or the SD card has become unseated due to a significant impact
- The internal memory has less space than the SD card and will reach full capacity sooner
- To ensure IKE Field is using the SD card navigate to the "About" screen in IKE Field
- The storage location should indicate "SD card"
- If the storage location is "Internal" even after a factory reset the SD card may be unseated
- To resolve re-seat the SD card. The SD card can be accessed by powering down the device, removing the backing (Phillips head or T9 Torx) and opening the gate on the holder behind the battery
- If the storage location is "Internal" even after a factory reset the SD card may be unseated
- The storage location should indicate "SD card"
